My Lifetime "To Do" List

October 2, 2006

This was a fun stroll down memory lane and a great list of things I’ve wanted to do but haven’t been able to cross off my list. Friends of mine are crossing of the list of National Parks they’ve visited.

I, in a wild moment last year, put up different lists of the 10 Wonders of the World, because I’d decided that those should be my “must dos” before I die. But then I realized that there are multiple “10 Wonders” lists, so I picked and chose the places I want to go. But I digress yet again.

Of course, the idea is for you to cut, paste and bold the things you have done. Some of these things I have no intention of ever doing — like holding a tarantula and building a computer — but others I would love to do as soon as possible — like seeing the Northern Lights, parasailing and taking a weekend canoe trip. Hope it sparks something for you, too! Enjoy!

  1. wow thats some list!

  2. OMG! that is awesome!

you may be interested in this site:
it is a site of a challenge for listing 101 list of things to do in 1001 days. there are a lot of people on the list already and it’s quite intriguing to read some of the “to-do” lists.

i have been looking at that but i just can’t see myself taking the time to write things down. i might try it sometime. i think if one starts doing it, you may reach a point in life where you really have your life in balance – which in mycase i am not really there yet.

  3. i was hoping the URL will automatically change into a link but i guess it didn’t. here is the link again: http://www.triplux.com/1001/otherlists.asp

  4. Jamie,Thanks so much for stopping by. I think the thing that thrilled me most about this list was that I have already done so much. I really am a lucky girl in a million different ways!Foo,Loved the link! The idea of having a deadline I’m realizing is important, otherwise whatever goal you have just sits there. I really don’t focus until I have a deadline (except when it comes to marriage, I suppose) ;-). I always seem to do that. (double wink)A life in balance. What a great phrase. I need to keep working on that, too, because I really shouldn’t be so cranky (internally, not externally) for all the good things I have going on in my life!

  5. That is one hell of a list!

    Good luck with that.

    Adventurousness, for the win!

  6. Angela,

    This is so much fun!

I wonder how did you cause that car accident? 🙂

  7. Short story long: I was trying to show off my newly found driving skills by taking a corner too quickly in the rain. Two fishtales, a car reversal and 7 fenceposts later, the family car was demolished. Needless to say, I was in quite a bit of trouble when a friend brought me home, and I had to take a job at McDonalds to pay for the deductible on the insurance. The rest, as they say, is history. (I didn’t even have my picture license yet. My poor father.)

  8. Thanks, Orhan. Hope all is well in your world!
