A day late and a dollar short

December 28, 2006

Okay, so I know, I know! It’s two days after Christmas, and I’m just posting this, but it’s too darn funny to wait until next year and seems to be helping with my post-holiday let down. Christmas 2006. It was.

Thanks to my cousin Melissa for the find.

  1. hope you have a happy new year Ang! sorry the xmas was a letdown. mine was actually pretty good, nice to play with the kids although a handful. i guess i have a big taste of how it’s going to be like in the future. hope 2007 is a good one for you and family (sure hope mine is). look forward to more from you blogging in 2007 πŸ™‚

  2. sorry … i meant to say this in the last sentence…”look forward to more blogging from you in 2007″

  3. Okay, “Screaming Banshee”? That’s me, driving in effin’ Hunt Valley this time of year, except I’m a guy, so I guess I’m a “Screaming Banshoo” or something.

  4. This about sums it up for so many people. And yet we keep doing it!

We are such lemmings, walking off the edge of the precipice! πŸ˜‰

  5. That was a documentary film, right, Angela?

It was hilarous! And, while, as you say, it was a tad late — it arrived not a second too soon for me.

  6. Foo! Thanks so much for stopping by. The Christmas was great. It was the day after that did me in, hence, the post-holiday letdown. Good to see you. I hope you’re feeling better. Keep up the great work on your blog!

Snay ~ First off, what a great name! I’m so glad you liked it. It allowed me a wonderful vent, so I’m glad to hear that it worked for you, too.

Dan ~ Lemmings. Isn’t that the truth?! I definitely scaled back this year and am glad I did. To get all wrapped up (no pun intended) in the lights and mailings and fruitcake-bakings is to miss the point. I hope I didn’t miss it this year. At least I didn’t feel like I did. The phrase “THOMAS!!” was uttered to me by more than one little boy this holiday season, and I’m just so glad to do it. Helping each other be happy (or happier) is the point, yes? (If it’s not, I’m missing it.) ;o)
