Andrew makes me happy

For your Monday, here’s this little fella singing his heart out to Liz Phair. Watching him sing the chorus and how he makes sure to cover the background vocals are the best! (Although listening to him sing about cheating is a little disconcerting, but hey, what the hell.) Happy Monday!

p.s. While most of the youtube videos I post are mine, this one is not. Can’t take credit for it. Nope. I just can’t.

  1. That’s awesome. My kids sing along whenever I play My Chemical Romance’s Welcome to the Black Parade. Seriously. Also, they are now officially Marx brothers fans. They are 7 and 5. I’m screwing them up for life.

    Thanks for the card!

  2. Diesel, you are so welcome! And I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one screwing my kids up. Babs and I were playing poker yesterday (a remnant of the Vegas trip), complete with chips and all. I figured that I’m teaching her about numbers and math. 2 + 3 = a FULL HOUSE, BABY!!! Cheers to you!

  3. I hope that was the passenger taking that video and not the driver! I like how he ignores his audience and just keeps singing. My younger one will sing along to anything, but especially Green Day.

  4. What a cute kid. Adorable! Found you via Diesel’s blog. Cheers for the shout out for Inappropriate Card Day 🙂 Great blog, btw! Love it.

  5. what a cutie! i kinda want one…..

  6. CSL ~ He completely ignores the camera. And he’s so sleepy but belts the chorus. I love this little guy.

Chrissy ~ So glad to have you! And you are absolutely welcome for the comment. It took Inappropriate Card Day to an entirely new level. (And gave me a good laugh, which I always appreciate.) Cheers to you and your awesome sense of humor!

Angry ~ Isn’t he darling? If all kids were this cute, I’d have more! :o) I have enough trouble with the one I have, though, so I think I’ll stop now. Loved your blog, by the way. I kept thinking to myself how great it would be to be an Angry Ballerina and now I have the tools. Awesome! Have a good one!

  7. This kid ROCKS! And so does Liz Phair. And hey … most of the time when I sing to rock I don’t know what the hell I’m singing about either.

(Ironically, I just posted my first video on my blog today. Me dancing. Brace yourself.)

  8. Dan ~ FABULOUS!! Oh my gosh. I really have to stop working so I can just sit and go through blogs. Yours is always a must-read, but you know that. Don’t forget about us when you’re famous, okay? I adore this little one, especially since he’s not keeping me awake half the night or arguing or backtalking or worrying me half sick. Kids are so damn cute sometimes. This is one of them. xoxoxoxo

  9. Okay, the two yawns and the quick ear scratch melted me.

Why can’t I read whenever I think about you? (that’s what I always hear) She sounds like Carolyn Dawn Johnson.

  10. He’s a charmer, isn’t he? Youtube is so lovely. We used to have to wade through America’s Funniest Home Video to get what we can now get in 2 minutes minus the commercials from Youtube. I love Youtube.

That’s so funny about the lyrics. I love to hear people talk about what they hear in different songs. It took Youtube to let me know that Liz Phair was singing SANE instead of SAINT in her “Extraoridinary” song. I still didn’t believe it until I actually saw the word pop up in the video.

Jon and I have a running bet about “How Deep Is Your Love,” too. But no matter how many sites I pull up that show the “door to my better soul” line, he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge that’s what they wrote. Maybe they didn’t. You just never know with Internet citations. Cheers!

  11. If you love poker then you should check out this amazing site I found. It has everything you need to get started with playing poker! It also has great pricing on chips, shirts, card protectors, tables, and much more!
