Happy Halloween to us!

November 1, 2007

I wish you all a night that was a lovely as ours.

A view of the top of my piano — the one that’s missing the sustaining pedal. And, no. I’m not bitter about that. Not bitter at all.

I’m not sure if LJ looks more like Wolfman Jack or Eddie Munster, but it sure was great to watch him dance to Jon’s music. In the background is Klimt’s The Kiss — popular, I know, but Jon bought it for me and had it sent up just after we first met. I know, I know, awwwww.

Not quite the boon we had last year, but still a marvelous time.

And, finally, the pose that Jon loves so much. If it’s not immediately obvious, that black thing on my head is cat ears. Meow.

  1. Nice, nice, happy photos of you all. Warms my heart. Love the costume. Now, do you want any leftover goodies. I miscalculated on how much I’d need, so I’ve got a ton.

  2. Thank you, Ian. Any chocolate you’d like to send our way would be greatly appreciated, I’m sure! We had quite a bit left over ourselves, to I can’t imagine that the kids will be wanting. It took me nearly a year to get rid of *last* year’s stash.

  3. I just love these positive posts from someone who knows how to appreciate the good things in life.

  4. nice pics. looks like the kids got lots of nice candy and looks like you going to have more coming your way (from Ian).

not sure i like how skimpy the girls costumes are this year — just too much skin and too short. i went to borders to get some coffee yesterday and there was a young teen girl at the counter serving me in a skimpy nurse costume. couldn’t believe how short her skirt was and how much cleavage was shown. kind of made me feel guilty just looking at her — geez.

i guess i’m not the only one feeling this way, there was something on the news couple of days ago, some parents were complaining that they couldn’t find any non skimpy girls costumes this year.

  5. Lovely pics, Angela!! It looked like a fantastic time was had by all!

Oh, and I’d totally use that Spiderman candy basket as a fun purse for a night out. πŸ™‚

  6. Hi Seventh Sister ~ Thank you. I hope that I am able to grasp it, at least in part, for the magnificence that it is. I do believe that the Universe is always trying to show us how freaking amazing it all is.

Hi Foo ~ Thank you. I hear you on the costumes. Some things are better left to the imagination. πŸ˜‰

Hi Jacque ~ It really was a great night. If you need Spidey, I can send him. He rocks.

  7. Awwww, Ang, look at you two smiling! What a wonderful shot, Sweetie!

Klimt! Laura and I LOVE him. In fact, there’s a retrospective of his in Manhattan right now that we were planning to see.

You all rock Ang! I love you all!

    great pictures!!!

  9. Oooh, you all are adorable!

  10. I think that your candy haul was quite good. Better than my boy’s — he got tired. But that’s perfectly fine. The less candy I — I mean he — eats, the better.

  11. Hi Dan! That guy cracks me up. That’s foo shoo. You know how I love him. Klimt rocks! Drink some of it in for me when you and Laura go see it, would you?

Hi Meleah! Thank you. We had a blast.

Hi Pool! Awwww. Thank you. There was so much adorable going on that night it should have been illegal.

Hi DD! We had such a huge haul last year that this year’s seemed meager. It’s all relative, isn’t it? But you are absolutely right — less to tempt us!! That’s a very good thing.

  12. awww… you all look so happy! Great shots!

  13. Bleh, happy people in love. Y’all can blow me. πŸ™‚

  14. Hi Dawn ~ We had a great night. Those little moments caught on film. I do love that.

Hi, Jim! πŸ˜‰ You’re funny! Ah, yes, you do make me laugh out loud, my friend. Match.com. I’m tellin’ ya. Quit reading Craigslist, would you? Honestly. Hey, it only took me about 4500 profiles to find Jon. Okay, maybe 8000. Pathetic, I know. Happy November!

  15. Ang – you and Jon are a beautiful couple.

  16. Reese ~ Thank you. We do really love each other. Of course, I don’t include the pictures of the times we are at each other’s throats, but we feel really blessed the vast majority of the time . . . I think. πŸ˜‰

He told me this morning I was a pain in the ass. I told him that it takes one to know one. He laughed. We kissed. It’s good.

  17. I’m glad you guys had a great Halloween. I had a ghoul and Alexander the Great this year. They really scored on the candy – it was enough to kill us all.

  18. Hi CS ~ Good for them! I really do love Halloween. I can’t think of another holiday that is so dedicated to good fun. Pictures! Pictures!
