Dinner at my house

January 6, 2008

Of course, this is from a month ago, but I’ve already told y’all what happens to me in January. (The quick answer is hibernation.) Here’s looking forward to Feb.!!

  1. My ex and I had exactly the same plates. She got them, along with the dog, the Persian rug,my integrity and my libido (but the last two were just for a while). January and hibernation make for a good combo, dear. How are you? I’ve missed you.

  2. Sometimes hibernation is precisely what’s called for. So, I tried to enlarge the photo with no luck. Potatoes? I can’t tell. Looks umymy, though

  3. I do my hibernation in December. Sometimes hibernation is a good thing. 🙂

  4. I’m still figuring out when I hibernate. I think it starts in October and ends in March. Get your rest.

  5. I’m a January hibernator too. Sometime around mid month I notice the days are a few minutes longer and I begin to wake up.
Can I come to dinner at your house?

  6. WOW! You served food that has been sitting around for a WHOLE MONTH? Wow. You’re just like me.

  7. Ian, yet another connection! Sounds like the loss may actually have been a good one. And thank you for your sentiments. It’s so good to be missed. Occasionally I think I’m one of those people no one would miss, and then I realize, hey, as Sally Fields so sweetly said, someone likes me! Hooray! How wonderful that I like you, too!

CS, sweet potatoes. With rosemary. So yummy.

Chani, I couldn’t agree more. I’m trying to take more clues from other mammals. It’s working!

  8. Pool, I’m the same way. I’m trying to enjoy winter, but it’s not easy!

Voyager, I think many of us are — it’s just hard to admit. I’m admitting it and feeling infinitely better for just being real and acknowledging that January is really not my favorite month.

DD, See how alike we are?! Happy 2008 to you and yours!

  9. Came back to check your response, and saw my typo – umymy for yummy. I am going for an typo queen award.

  10. C ~ I think you’ll have to try and take that award from me, and I treasure it. I truly do. 😉
